The services of the Crime Victim Helpline are provided by a small team of staff and volunteers. The organisation is headed by a Chief Executive who reports to the CVH Board of Directors.
Michele Puckhaber, Chief Executive
Michele has been the Chief Executive of the Crime Victims Helpline (CVH) since 2014. Originally from Seattle, USA, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Occidental College in Los Angeles and a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington in Seattle. Michele’s career began as a volunteer on a rape crisis helpline, leading to roles such as Women and Family Advocate for Lifewire, a domestic violence charity, and Victim Advocate with the University of Washington Police Department. In these positions, she supported victims of various crimes, including human trafficking, harassment, stalking, theft, assault, domestic abuse, and sexual violence. After relocating to Ireland, Michele worked with Sonas Domestic Violence Charity and Dublin City Homeless Services before joining CVH. Under her leadership, CVH has seen a significant increase in use of its services, reflecting the growing demand for accessible support for victims of crime across Ireland.
Rebecca Fitzmaurice, Volunteer Coordinator (Job Share)
Rebecca started with CVH as an intern and volunteer in 2022 before joining the staff in 2023. In 2024 she moved into her current role of Volunteer Coordinator where she is now involved in training and supporting new volunteers. She completed a BSc in Psychology at Dublin City University in 2022, and is currently completing a MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice at University College Dublin.
Caoimhe McKeon, Service Coordinator
Prior to joining CVH, Caoimhe garnered valuable experience in the legal sector, serving as both a Compliance Analyst and Claims Assistant at a private investigation firm in Dublin. In 2021, she earned her undergraduate degree (BA) in Law and Criminology from Maynooth University, Ireland, and subsequently completed her Masters (MA) in Comparative Criminology and Criminal Justice at the same institution in August 2023. Caoimhe has dedicated her time to supporting victims within the criminal justice system, having served as an intern with Victim Support at Court (V-SAC) at the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin city. In this role, she provided assistance to victims, their families, and witnesses across a spectrum of crimes, including murder, rape, assault, and sexual abuse. Drawing on her passion for youth justice, Caoimhe actively volunteers with Le Chéile Mentoring, where she serves as a Mentor working closely with young individuals who have been or are at risk of coming into contact with the criminal justice system.
Marie Murray, Volunteer Coordinator (Job Share)
Marie started at the Crime Victims Helpline in 2011 as a volunteer on the helpline. She was hired in 2014 as the Helpline Support Worker where she provided support to both volunteers and service users. In 2022 she moved into a new role of Volunteer Coordinator where she is responsible for the recruitment, training, and support of volunteers. She holds an honours degree (BA) in Psychology from Trinity College Dublin.
